New Events Coming Spring 2018

Join us for our 15th annual trail-ride-a-thon at Trace Trails, Athens,TX Saturday November 18th, 2017. Ride out time is 1pm, chili around 4pm after we get back into camp. During chili dinner, we will be giving away door/pasture prizes. This is a ride-a-thon so if you want to help raise money, download the ride-a-thon form to get sponsors,  bring it and your money collected with you to the event. There will be prizes awarded to the adult and youth rider who raise the most money. This is an event that was special to our friend April Mortl and every fall, we ride in her memory.

Horsefeathers Therapeutic Equestrian Center cordially invites you to attend Feathers for Freedom 2017. Mark your calendars, come and enjoy a pleasurable afternoon observing our rider’s horsemanship skills and meet the Horsefeathers staff, volunteers and students. Join us as we celebrate our students accomplishments and the ribbon cutting ceremony of our new covered April Mortl Memorial Arena. Also this year in honor of April Mortl’s birthday, the East Texas Stampede Drill Team will be performing for us. Invite a friend and we hope to see you there!

The Board of Directors for Horsefeathers Therapeutic Equestrian Center cordially invites you to attend our 6th annual Black Feather Gala. The theme of the evening will be a 50’s Sock-Hop and will be held at “The Bunker” at the Van Zandt Country Club in Canton TX.

Our annual Trail Ride-A-Thon event was cancelled due to bad weather. We were planing to ride at the Mineola Nature Preserve Saturday October 24th, 2015. We hope to see you at our next event!

Eat at Applebee’s Canton on Sept 24th from 5pm – Close and Applebee’s will donate 15% of your purchase to us when you present them with this flyer.

We are hosting an open house on Saturday June 27th from 12:00pm to 3:00pm
